Al Batinah is surrounded by mountains and sea in the area which is over 270 kilometers from the border of United Arab Emirates to the muscat.

The West Hajar mountains run beside the coastline, and the highest mountain exceeds 3,000 meters behind Batinah.
The biggest town in the region is Al Rustaq that was once a capital of Oman in old times.
